Hi There!

Some of you know... Sorry for repetition. Wednesday sometime in the
morning I went to kiss my Chippies cat and suddenly noticed my mouth wasn't
working right. My kiss was sloppy, making odd noises. I thought "Hmm, I
wouldn't make a good date, kissing like this!" I sat for awhile, doing
things online and kept wondering about my mouth. I began to wonder if
something was wrong. Feeling my face when I talked, I realized there was no
movement on the right side. I smiled, and could tell that I could only
smile on the left. I closed my eyes, no eye movement or sensation on right
side. I got nervous, wondering if I'd had, or was getting a warning of a
stroke, or if it was Bell's Palsy. I got to the hospital Emergency Room
later that day, and fortunately, it was surmised to be Bell's, many of the
same little facial tests done by the lead E R doctor. Such nice people they
all were at that hospital. Efficient, competent, and wow, in and out of
there fast! They ran a CT scan to make sure. Waiting on the results, I was
in and out of there in less than two hours! I did fill two scripts, though
I'm going for acupuncture today, believing that will be the most helpful
treatment, plus the energy work and prayers!

On my way to get that CT scan, I felt so full of gratitude for the way
everything was being done, and the good people! I just kept radiating with
the words "God's got me!" And indeed, I knew it to be so!

That evening when I put out the word on Twitter, Facebook and emails to a
few friends, I was so amazed with the outpouring of kindness, love and
concern! People are so great!

I woke in the morning, feeling full of love and gratitude!

A couple of hours later, I noticed something else, an unwillingness to play
games, a feeling of, "this is my life, it's precious, and I'm not putting up
with people's stuff." My new motto became "It's time to give more love and
gratitude, and to take less crap." I realized this week that a little girl
part of me has wanted to hold on to and believe in everyone. It is not the
job of this woman. Some of that gets to be martyrdom. So, I just let a few
people go who have not been productive to call friends of late. I felt they
were staying around more for unhealthy purposes, not respectfully wanting or
genuinely participating in friendship from me at this time either. The door
is open, I'm glad to welcome and include people who choose, are able to come
from a healthy and whole place. I wish them well. Sometimes chapters just
need to end, making way for new ones to begin. It's all good! Blessings to
all!

So somehow, in this place of half smiles, I'm talking out of one side of my
mouth, not both, and in a sense, I've got Bells on and I'm going forward
with an even greater sense of renewal!

To be continued... Thanks for listening! Thank you for your interest in me
personally and/or professionally, and your support toward me and my work!!!
I'm so excited, more clients are calling, appointments being made! Thank
you, Wonderfully Abundant Universe!!! And so it is!!!

Are you on my Announce list? The Discussion list is about to finally take
off! Web pages really are being worked on and I think a lot more will be
happening with that in the concrete sense very soon! Stay tuned...

want?

I received a comment on my blog that someone had difficulty with the link.
They did not sign their name so I have no way of making a direct reply
though I did post an answer to my Announce List.

When a link is long as mine are, they sometimes have to be posted to the
browser. I tested the link before I posted and when responding to the
comment. Just open your browser and paste it in.

It was a live show on ACB Radio Mainstream. I've been talking and tweeting
so much on Twitter about the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT.) that there
was listener interest. So a young boy happened to call in who was angry
about a teacher deciding he wasn't capable of something before the chance to
find out. This boy learned EFT quite well. He learned it, used it, and
I've heard since some listeners were also learning and tapping along with
us!

blog post: people craving inspiration!

  • Aug. 15th, 2010 at 12:08 AM

Wow I was just on my way to bed and started thinking, first, about
meditation, the importance of it. I think it's the difference between
walking hard versus softly, between gentle versus hammering thoughts.
Sometimes I have to make a conscious effort to loosen my grip on a thought,
any thought. And always, it is the lighter, the more gentle approach that
makes room for something good to happen, or even for a simple solution if it
troubling.

And then I thought about the space..., the space between thoughts, the space
between breaths, the space between particles where it is said all activity
really happens, where wonderment is borne! Amazing to me to think of the
beauty and wonder of space!

And then I thought of how "awesome!" And how often people use that word
awesome! I think people are craving that sense of awe! What does it mean
to be awe inspired? What does it mean when something is awesome? It is
breath taking! It is beyond description! It stops us in our tracks and
gives us something to appreciate!

I think people naturally crave to be inspired, to be awe inspired, filled
with that sense of spirit/Spirit! What if you were to really get that
everything you love, everyone and every thing you love, desire, want is
about desire to connect with Spirit? That new car! That new jewelry! That
new relationship! That incredible buffet of food! Those heaping bowls,
that incredible pampering! Can you glimpse it's all about Spirit? I often
write it as spirit/Spirit because it is that vitality within us, that
day-to-day sense of our spirit we experience that is also always a part of
the Source, the electrical supply, Spirit!

Dr. Phil once said that it's not that thing you want, but the feeling about
that thing or situation. I think that is absolutely right on! So it's good
to ask self "Ok,, I think I want ---, so what feeling does it give me?" And
then, take it to the big picture, and trust that if that desire is there, in
some way, it's meant to be. Then, expect it, and demand nothing specific.

And so it is!

As I just was writing this on Steve Judd's blog this morning (I love this
blog. If you want to read some depth of thought on astrology, and read or
post into a community of conscious and interesting people, check out
http://www.stevejudd.com

Steve was suggesting of potential viruses, the importance of boosting and
taking care of our immune system.)s A couple of people were pointing out
thoughts about body image etc. Last night I discussed the idea of doing a
respectful show on sexuality. Amazing that we even have to question and
think carefully about how to do that. And so this morning I just posted
this on Steve Judd's blog.

"Interesting about the body. For years I've been pointing out about words
used in everyday language that demean the body and self/Self People call
each other and self by names of body parts. People say awful things to and
about self and others out loud that constantly negate the body! People say
"F U" to people they don't like, when that word is also used to denote a
sacred act (though often not spoken of in a sacred way. To me, everything
is a mirror. And we wonder what "out there" contributes or causes our
economy to be what it is? As within, so out there, etc... As out there, so
within..."

Yes indeed! This body is our vehicle, our container for our expression and
experience! And yet, we run it down. We shove all kinds of things into it
from head to toe, call it names, call other people names b its incredible
names of functions and parts! And we wonder why so many things are
disjointed? We so often, jump into sacred acts before we've become friends!
(Been there done that!) And we blame everything as something that comes
from "out there?" It's no accident the word responsibility is also, is
really by some and in my book "response-ability!"

Let's be grateful, how about even, great-filled, mindful of our bodies, what
they do for us and each other. Our bodies are greatly filled, resilient!
Have you ever considered all of the functions your body does for you without
your need to control, orchestrate, organize...? To me, that is amazing! It
makes me think "How could anyone not know there's a God!!!?" :)
And so it is! Amen! (And as Clarissa Pinkola Estes' grandmother also
said, "Amen, and a little woman!")
